Cryptocoryne Wendtii Red
Crytocoryne Wendtii originates from Sri Lanka. The leaf color may depend on several factors, including lighting and fertilization, and may range from brown to red to olive green.
This beautiful variety of Cryptocoryne wendtii is only found in the river Mi Oya at Sri Lanka. It has characteristic red-brown, slightly hammered leaves from 20-35 cm, and 15-30 cm wide rosettes. Many Cryptocorynes can grow at high temperatures. In the wild this plant is found in streams with a temperature of more than 30 degrees C.
Care & Maintenance for Cryptocoryne Red
This is one of the most hardiest and adaptable of Cryptocoryne species and will do well in most aquarium conditions and under varied lighting.C. Wendtii looks best when planted in groups, creating dense clumps. It is a medium to fast grower and propagates from shoots and runners.

Temperature Range: 71-82°F @ 22-28°C
Tank Placement: Foreground – Midground
This plant can be used as a foreground or midground plant. In smaller aquariums, it can be planted in the background areas of the aquarium. You can plant Wendtii in gravel. No specialized substrate is required although Cryptocoryne Wendtii Red will do much better in a loosely packed substrate rich in nutrients such as Fluval Stratum or Rio Escuro.
